Summary
For this Bank Holiday weekend we are visiting the Lake District in Cumbria.  We will depart from London on Friday evening and travel to Ambleside – Cumbria (car sharing will be available for those that need it and options will be announced nearer the time).  You are welcome to make your own way to Ambleside if this is a better option for you.

Our exclusive hire accommodation is Shackleton Lodge – a well-equipped self-catering bunkhouse in a beautiful woodland setting with open-space, parking and every facility you need.  The accommodation is ideally located for our hikes over this bank holiday weekend.  There is a fully-equipped kitchen just a few steps from the lodge with a large oven and hob, microwave, fridge and freezer and dining block, plus a purpose-built BBQ beneath the natural leafy canopy that the tall trees provide,  Lake Windermere is a stone’s throw and the fells are on your doorstep.  Please bring own sleeping bags, pillows and towels.  If you are self-catering, you will need to bring your own food for breakfasts, dinners and packed lunches – alternatively Ambleside, a brisk walk away, has lots of great eateries, supermarkets and shops.  There is an option to have a locally cooked breakfast.

During the long weekend we will walk to many spectacular and classic locations (including Scafell Pike and many Wainwrights).  Hikes will include routes based on (but not limited to) the following locations:

Scafell Pike (978m) England’s highest and probably most spectacular with its views
Helvellyn – 950m (third highest mountain in England)
Loughrigg Fell & Rydal Water – 335m
Ambleside to Grasmere Low Level Walk
The Langdales & Tarns – 736m

Scafell Pike (978m)

The Langdales & Tarns

After Monday’s walk, we will return to the vehicles and depart back to London – you can expect to be back in London by about 7-8pm Monday evening.

    Hi Richie,

Looking to book the mixed twin room, just wanted to make sure could move Chirag Parmar who has already booked to that room.

Hi Swati: Yes, either pay for both beds and I will refund Chirag his male room cost, or pay the extra £10 (£189) and I will switch Chirag back-office. A better option for me is to transfer direct to the LAG Bank, do you want to take this option? Thanks, Kind Regards, Richie
