Organiser – Gary Box
Where – Beach Head Bunkhouse, Park Head, St Eval, Wadebridge, Cornwall PL27 7UU
When – 19th-21st October 2012 (Fri-Sun)
Cost – £68.00 (includes 2 nights accommodation and guided walk)

Summary

Our accommodation for this trip is Beach Head Bunkhouse, a National Trust property that sleeps 14 people (2 dorms of 6 beds and 2 leader rooms sleeping 1 each). The property also has shower, cooking facilities, lounge etc and the building is heated with storage heaters throughout and a cosy multi fuel stove in the common room. The building has great views of some of the most stunning coastline Cornwall has to offer (close to Padstow and Newquay).

Our walk on Saturday will leave the hostel door to and explore Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps, described as a must-see by the visit Cornwall website.  Once the walk is over there is the chance to try karting at the local St Eval karting circuit but you will need to tell me at the time of booking your place. On Saturday evening you are free to eat locally, self cater and relax at the accommodation but I will be heading into Newquay, the UK’s surf capital and a place with a very active nightlife including pubs and clubs.

On Sunday after checking out of our accommodation we will head towards Boscastle for a short 6 mile walk that should take no longer than 3 hours to complete. This walk will offer yet more spectacular North Cornwall coastal scenery.

You can expect to be back in London by 7pm latest.

Transport is not included in this price but for information on car sharing options visit our Facebook page.
