"a friend who had gone on a couple of trips with the group lured me into coming on the canoe outing with promises of fun in the sun... he did not deceive me... it was a superb 3 days of camping and canoeing down the river wye...and there was even some sun... the organisation was top notch... all i had to do was show up and soak up the good times... the atmosphere of the group was really relaxed and i reckon we all had a pretty good time.. The trip certainly ticked all the right boxes... and i even sort of got to save someones life when they fell out of the canoe and i pulled them back in... though in fairness there were some moderately sound arguments to support the idea that it was my fault that they fell in..."
