Does it cost anything to join the group?
No there is no membership fee. We took a deliberate decision to keep the administration to a minimum and focus instead on making the group fun and something people wanted to be a part of,
Do I need previous experience for any of the trips?
Generally no. We try and be as inclusive as possible. The organiser of any event will make it clear if previous experience is required for a particular event.
What is the average age of the members of the group?
Currently the average age is early 30's. A person's age is not relevant, an outgoing fun personality is more important. Having said this we do not accept people below the age of 18 on our trips.
Do I need to own lots of equipment to join?
No some of our events do not require special equipment. Generally the minimum equipment required is listed on a trip and the organiser will answer any questions you might have. The weather can change quickly in the outdoors and the items listed on our equipment page will give you a good idea of the items most of our members bring.
I have some photographs taken at an event that I would like to share with other members, how do I upload them?
This website does not currently have an upload tool. The group has its own Facebook group that is the ideal place to share photos with your friends in the group. If we feel one of your images is suitable for inclusion on the website we may ask your permission to display it.
How do I book a place on an event?
Most of the trips have a 'Buy Tickets Now' button. We use a ticketing website called etickets.to and you can make payment using either Paypal or Google Checkout. The whole process is fast and secure. Where an event does not have a 'Buy Tickets Now' button you will need to contact the organiser directly.
If I need to cancel my booking for an event am I entitled to a refund?
If your space can be sold to someone else in the group then you will receive a full refund. As the group is non-profit we are unable to make a refund if that would mean the organiser losing money.
